Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair (2004)

Director: Quentin Tarantino · Genre: Action, Crime

A unified version of Kill Bill, The Whole Bloody Affair follows The Bride, a former assassin who wakes from a coma after her former boss and lover Bill ambushes her wedding rehearsal and leaves her for dead. She sets out on a revenge campaign against the remaining members of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad before confronting Bill himself. The film combines the two Kill Bill volumes into one unrated epic, restoring the intended single-film structure and adding extra material.

Beatrix Kiddo, known as the Bride, survives an ambush at her wedding rehearsal in El Paso when Bill and the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad massacre the guests, shoot her in the head, and leave her in a coma while her unborn daughter is taken from her.

Turning Point 1

Four years later, the Bride awakens in a hospital, kills a man who tries to rape her, escapes from the corrupt orderlies who had been exploiting her comatose body, and decides to hunt down Bill and every surviving Deadly Viper.

Turning Point 2

She travels to Okinawa and persuades Hattori Hanzō, who had sworn never to forge swords again, to make her a sword worthy of avenging her daughter; he crafts her a blade, and she heads to Tokyo to begin her revenge.

Turning Point 3

In Tokyo, the Bride slaughters dozens of Crazy 88 fighters, defeats Gogo Yubari and O-Ren Ishii’s forces, and then duels O-Ren in the snow-covered Japanese garden before killing her, after which she tortures Sofie Fatale for information about the remaining Vipers.

The Bride uses the kung fu technique and internal discipline taught by Pai Mei to break out of the coffin, claws her way out of the grave, and continues her vendetta toward the last surviving Vipers, including Elle Driver.

Turning Point 6

Elle goes to Budd’s trailer to buy the Bride’s sword but instead kills Budd with a black mamba hidden in the money case; when the Bride arrives, the two fight viciously, and the Bride destroys Elle by blinding her and leaving her fate to chance after learning Pai Mei’s secret eye-ripping technique.

Ending

The Bride finally reaches Bill in Mexico and discovers that their daughter, B.B., is alive and being raised by Bill; after a tense night together, Bill shoots her with a truth-serum dart, but she calmly answers his questions, performs the Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique on him, and walks away with B.B. to start a new life.
