Intro

- In 1997, motorcycle stunt rider Luke Glanton returns to Schenectady, New York, and learns from Romina Gutierrez that he is the biological father of her infant son, Jason, whom she has been raising with Kofi Kancam.

Turning Point 1

- Luke quits the traveling carnival to stay near Romina and Jason, but Romina makes it clear that she does not trust him to provide a stable life for them.

- Seeking money, Luke takes part-time work for mechanic Robin Van Der Hook, who reveals that he is a former bank robber and recruits Luke into robbing banks together; Luke uses his motorcycle speed to commit the robberies while Robin provides getaway support.

Turning Point 3

- Luke begins giving his stolen money to Romina and spending time with Jason, including a family outing, but his efforts collapse when Kofi confronts him at Romina’s house, Luke attacks Kofi with a tool, and Luke is arrested.
