Full Plot & Ending Explained
Intro
In 19th-century London, ambitious medical student Victor Frankenstein attends a circus and notices a nameless, deformed hunchback who demonstrates unusual anatomical skill while helping save aerialist Lorelei from injury. Victor rescues the hunchback from abuse, treats the cyst on his back, gives him a new posture-supporting harness, and renames him Igor Straussman.
Turning Point 1
Victor and Igor begin working together on Victor’s secret project to create artificial life. Victor uses electricity and stolen animal parts to experiment, while Igor becomes the practical surgical assistant who helps repair Victor’s mistakes and supplies the anatomical knowledge Victor lacks.
Turning Point 2
Their first major creation is a grotesque chimpanzee-like creature nicknamed Gordon, assembled from dead animal parts. Victor unveils it at a university demonstration, but the experiment goes out of control when Gordon breaks loose, attacks people, and forces Victor and Igor to kill it.
Turning Point 3
The disaster destroys Victor’s standing and leads to his expulsion, but he refuses to give up. He becomes further obsessed after the death of his older brother Henry, and he is drawn into the patronage of wealthy classmate Finnegan, who funds a far more ambitious plan: the creation of a humanoid being called Prometheus.
Turning Point 4
As Victor pushes ahead, Igor grows uneasy about the ethics of the work and begins to realize how dangerous the project has become. He also reconnects with Lorelei, which deepens the tension between him and Victor, while Inspector Roderick Turpin increasingly views Victor’s experiments as blasphemous and illegal.
Turning Point 5
Victor and Igor’s lab is raided and destroyed by police led by Turpin, but Finnegan helps them escape. The group flees to Finnegan’s estate in Scotland, where Victor continues the experiment with even greater intensity, determined to succeed no matter the cost.
Turning Point 6
During the final phase, the body of Prometheus is completed and Victor prepares to bring it to life in a storm. Igor tries to stop him, but Victor proceeds with the activation, and the creature becomes a lethal force that threatens everyone around it.
Ending
By the end, Victor and Igor are forced to confront the consequences of Victor’s obsession and work together to destroy the creature by attacking and disabling its two hearts, bringing the experiment to a violent close.
