Full Plot & Ending Explained

Intro

One year after the events of the first film, Eggsy Unwin has become a full Kingsman agent using the title “Galahad,” is dating Princess Tilde of Sweden, and is ambushed by Charlie Hesketh, a vengeful former Kingsman trainee whose cybernetic arm later lets him infiltrate the Kingsman system and expose the entire organization to danger.

Turning Point 1

Charlie delivers Kingsman data to Poppy Adams, the public face of the Golden Circle drug cartel, and Poppy launches a coordinated missile strike that destroys Kingsman headquarters in London, killing most of the British agents and leaving only Eggsy and Merlin alive.

Turning Point 2

Following the emergency protocol, Eggsy and Merlin travel to Kentucky and discover the Statesman, an American spy organization disguised as a bourbon distillery; there they learn Harry Hart survived Valentine’s shooting because of Statesman nanotechnology, but he has amnesia and no memory of being a spy.

Turning Point 3

Champagne and the Statesman agree to help Kingsman stop Poppy, while Harry slowly recovers his identity through the efforts of Merlin and Ginger Ale; meanwhile Eggsy’s mission becomes more complicated when he tracks Charlie’s ex-girlfriend Clara, implants a device on her, and strains his relationship with Princess Tilde after revealing the operation to her.

Turning Point 4

Poppy reveals her larger plan to the world: she has poisoned recreational drugs with a toxin that causes blue rashes, then mania, paralysis, and death, and she offers the antidote only if the U.S. president legalizes her cartel and ends the war on drugs; to prove her leverage, she publicly demonstrates the cure on a captive Elton John.

Turning Point 5

Eggsy, Harry, and Whiskey trace the Golden Circle to its mountain antidote factory in Italy, where Harry regains his old spy instincts, but Whiskey secretly betrays the team because he believes Poppy’s threat is too dangerous to resist and becomes an obstacle to Eggsy’s rescue effort.

Turning Point 6

In Poppy’s lair, Eggsy and Harry confront her guards and discover that the president has not chosen humanity over politics; Whiskey tries to protect the mission in his own ruthless way, but his betrayal escalates the chaos and forces Eggsy to fight through Poppy’s security while Merlin and the Statesman crew work to keep the antidote available.

Ending

Merlin sacrifices himself to save Eggsy and Harry from a minefield and dies singing after triggering the explosives, while Eggsy and Harry finally defeat Poppy, secure the antidote, and expose her scheme; the president is forced to cooperate, Tilde survives, and Eggsy ends the film back in a royal, spy-filled life with a restored sense of purpose.
